SYLLABUS LEVELS:
WORKBOOK STYLE SYLLABUS WITH MUSIC
Beginners Level I – The syllabus starts at the very beginning & covers technique appropriate for ages 6-7, with explanations on how to teach each step, French pronunciations, a glossary of terms, barre work, & combinations for one lesson each week for the entire 9 month ‘dance’ year. 92 pages. | |
Beginners Level II The syllabus continues where Beginners Level I leaves off & covers technique to ready the student for the Intermediate Level. This can also be used for beginners who have not had Level I but are ages 8-10. The syllabus includes explanations on how to teach each step, French pronunciations, a glossary of terms, barre work, and combinations for the entire year. 97 pages. | |
Intermediate The syllabus continues where Level II left off preparing the student for the Intermediate II & Pointe Syllabus. This book includes explanations on how to teach each new step, French pronunciation, glossary of terms, barre work, combinations for adage, allegro and turns. 140 pages. | |
Intermediate II & Pointe The syllabus continues to prepare the dancer for the Advanced syllabus. It includes explanations on how to teach and begins with barre and center work for technique and beginning pointe. Contains explanations on how to teach each new step., French pronunciation, glossary of ballet terms, barre work, combinations for technique class & beginning pointe work. 150 pages. | |
Advanced The syllabus contains very advanced technique covering advanced adage, allegro, turns, jumps and many combinations for the advanced technique class. Also contains French pronunciation, glossary of ballet terms, barre work, across the floor work, turns and adages. 124 pages. |
