Venti Petrov
Music CDs and DVDs for Classical Ballet Technique
International award winner, Venti Petrov is a graduate of The National Choreographic Institute of Sofia, Bulgaria. Upon his arrival in New York City, he continued his studies with Vladimir Dokoudovsky and became an American citizen in 2001. Venti worked with Suzanne Farrell (New York City Ballet) and Alexander Vetrov (Bolshoi Ballet). He has performed in over 20 states. Petrov premiered his own fully staged story ballets – El Cid (2011) and Dear Nadezhda (2012 and 2014) in New York.
He released four CDs for ballet classes with pianists Michael Zeiger, Ferdy Tumakaka, and Olga Merson, two Master Class DVDs, the groundbreaking Ballet App – Ballet Master – approved by Apple, and a book, Dear Nadezhda.
Olga Merson : A leading New York Dance Accompanist for nearly 20 years, Olga Merson received her Master’s degree from “The Minsk Conservatory of Music in 1976. Upon completion of her studies, she worked n Moscow’s “Mosconcert” an esteemed musical institutiion, as an accompanist of their modern ballet troupe.
Since moving to New York in 1980, Olga Merson has worked in some of New York’s greatest dance schools, including The American Ballet Theater, School of the American Ballet, the Joffrey Ballet Comapny, David Howard Dance Center, Steps and Broadway Dance Center.
