Marty Beller

Modern Dance and Film composer

Marty Beller is a New York City based composer/drummer/percussionist who has a long history of collaboration with dance, film, TV, and pop music.  His work has received praise from the New York Times, New York Post, Village Voice, Herald, Boston Globe and Billboard.  He has composed and performed with Jennifer Muller/The Works, Chet Walker/8 and ah 1, Sean Curran, Heidi Latsky, Andrew Jannetti and Dancers, Kelli Wicke Davis/ Rogers Williams University Dance Co., Alice Tierstein/Young Dancemakers Co., Kathy Wildberger and Bill Hastings/RhythMEK.

Composing/Producing credits include:  Music from the award winning documentary The Cruise by Bennett Miller, released by Artisan Entertainment; Biography of Groucho Marx on Arts and Entertainment Network; Living with Cancer on the Health Network, and the Off-Broadwayplay No Plugs to Pull by Joe Nardelli.

Marty was co-writer, co-producer, and drummer for Meow, whose debut album “Goalie for the Other Team,” was released on Enemy Records.

He has toured extensively through the US, Europe, and Japan with Warner Brothers recording artist Michelle Lewis, Polygram Recording artist Daniel Cartier, Bolivian singer Hilario Soto and Higher Culture, the 14-piece rock orchestra All God’s Children, and the funk band Arnold the Pig.
